Death Valley National Park
Death Valley was neither my first national park nor my first favorite park. However, it is now at the very top of my list.
For several years I have been blessed to explore Death Valley with my father-in-law. We take a Jeep into the depths of the park, exploring hard-to-reach or obscure trails in the largest national park in the lower 48 states. Home of the hottest temperatures in the world, the lowest elevation in America, abundant mining history, and multiple terrains ranging from desert to alpine, it's safe to say that I will need to take many more trips before I will have explored it all.
